OMG I HAVE A SURGERY DATE

I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT MY INSURANCE HAS APPROVED MY SURGERY AND MY DATE IS OCTOBER 6.
YAY YAY YAY!!!!
1200 CALORIE-A-DAY-LIVER-SHRINKING DIET TO COMMENCE THIS THURSDAY, SO STAY TUNED FOR GRUMPY POSTS!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How awesome!!! Feels amazing right!?! You'll do fine with the liquid diet! I am on my last day of it today (of the pre-op liquid diet that is) and it wasnt too too bad! Best of luck girl! Congrats!

Why?

I have been overweight my entire life. For as long as I can remember, I was always a "plus". Well, I had decided after years and years of dieting and being depressed, I was done. DONE. DONE. Done.

July 14, 2011 - I took the first step. I registered for a free Lap-Band seminar.

August 8, 2011 - I attended my first seminar.

August 10, 2011 - I made an appointment for a consultation with a Bariatric Surgeon - MY Surgeon.

August 22, 2011 - I met MY Surgeon! LOVE him!!

September 20, 2011 - I got the call - my insurance has approved my surgery and my surgery date is October 6th.

My new life began on Thursday, October 6, 2011.
